Here's a couple of catless 3.0 X-Pipes we just did for two brothers - both own 997TT's. One brother opted for polished tips, while the other chose our brushed finish...

Here is an example of our 997 Turbo 3" Competition X-Pipe opted in catless RACE version and configured for OEM tips. This system just shipped to a new owner! Rennlist Member discounts are available on all SpeedTech exhaust systems.

Can you pm a price on your quietest catted product? I'm not looking for shouty or max performance, just a bit more exhaust and turbo noise.

thank you.

Why aren't any vendors selling the merge pipes in lieu of x pipes??

It appears merge pipes are only available upon custom fabrication requests

Over years of exhaust development, we have tested various style merges and in the case of the 997TT, we refined our "X" design in order to achieve the best quality sound that we could for this platform.

From all of our testing and R&D experience, we have found that the quality of the sound changes with the merge design and in our opinion, suffers with the slight or lesser merge designs. As a result, we choose not to offer that style product (slight merge vs. X), as the vast majority of our customers are extremely concerned not only with performance, but with sound quality, as well and we seek to provide an exhaust that will make the driving experience extremely entertaining and rewarding for our customers. An exhaust that they will enjoy long term. When an exhaust does not sound just right, people tire of it quickly and our goal is to try to eliminate that factor for our customers. Our proprietary "X" design is a major ingredient to our solution.

I've heard their quiet version, sounds really good. I have the Kline on my car if you want to compare.

Did you sell that system you started this post about? The one your customer wanted sold?
Cheers

Yes. But this one is the same type of system, except the tip finish, which can be changed....i.e. I can make new tips for this demo system (poished or ceramic black) and the rest of it is newly fabricated...so it could be turned into a "new" system as well.

Another new, very happy SpeedTech customer, who switched from a very popular 997TT exhaust just sent us an email - he installed the SpeedTech 3.0 X-Pipe w/ HJS cats and twin tips a week ago and had this to report back:

I can't say enough how happy I am with the x-pipe. The past two days I've said to my gf countless times how much better sounding this exhaust is compared to the xxx. So happy with it.

Just completed and ready for packaging - This 2.5" X-Pipe was speced with HJS substrates and our 3" dual tips for a moderately aggressive sound level. Our 2.5 X-Pipe is gaining in popularity, as many customers desire an aggressive sound, yet not too loud and the 2.5 fills that spot very well.

Nice system, is this for a 997.1? Also, do you have polished and "rolled" tips like these.....

Thank you, Ed
