On the original topic, looking to get LED lights for my 997.1 Turbo. Does anyone know the difference between the Dectanes and the Del Ray Customs? I know aftermarket lights generally have issues with sufficient brightness, I want the brighter ones.
If you search on 6speed "911tt r", there is a thread on my R and pictures of how I did it. I got it from Suncoast Porsche and modified it.

On the LEDs. There are really two kinds. ROTtec, and Depo. The later being the one you want. Some refer to them as Dectane, which is a European company that markets them, but they are made in Japan by Depo, and it is stamped in the back side of all the lights.

ROTtecs had lots of issues, as did Depo, but Depo seemed to have resolved theirs.

The ones currently on DelreyCustoms site appear to be ROTtecs. You can tell by the design and the installation with the 6 ohm resistors.

I have a pair of the Dectanes coming, but I understand they don't have the resistors included. Anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

When I bought Depo lights, the resistors were attached to the light. They were plug and play.

Love this car...mods look OEM.

Do the tips go straight on or do you need to cut out the rear bumper to fit?

Hi Thanks a lot.!..Appreciate that. Yes the tips just go straight in and can replace the OEM tips...No cutting or modifying needed at all. Just pop off OEM and put these on in the same fashion....

Let me know if I can help further or you need any additional info...
