Default Center Console

Anyone changed the Center Console?

I have a Terracotta interior all leather including seat backs. It's a great color combined with the Black Dash was thinking of changing the Center console to Black Alcantara or Leather.

I don't know much about Alcantara for example drove a GT3 RS the wheel Alcantara was wearing in spots. Wasn't my tight OMG grip on the wheel either.

Any thought and how hard is it real world. Porsche wants 3 to 4 hours labor at $125 an hour.

Use the search function for what AMGfan did to his car, incredible stuff. There is nothing like the look and smell of properly fitted and high quality leather.

Also my 2 Cents: I try to keep cars clean and be careful, but suede/Alcantra in high contact areas such as steering wheel/shift lever/seat base/center console = lots of staining and marks. If you like that kind of "character" then ok, but I would not recommended it.

Happy to provide painted, but I think you'll be ok if you went black leather. That said, you may find it more cost effective to have a non leather console done in leather by a local leather expert who knows this stuff....black won't show much as lighter colors do, and the rear center console should not get too much abuse.

Reach out if you are interested in painted, anytime: eric@bumperplugs.com

Our Cayman S had the black painted console wife and I liked it.

Took me about an hour or so to change mine out, maybe 1.5. I'd say do it yourself if you're at all moderately handy.
