I know what you mean about trigger happy. I had a solid game plan for how I wanted to proceed with low miles, CPO, all maintenance records etc... And then for some reason I pulled the trigger yesterday without any of that. Now I'm just hoping I get lucky....

Love that color, I have GT silver but my first choice was that color combo. I bought mine three years ago. For 65k so you got or gettin a hell of a deal if all checks out. Try to pull the warranty history on it from the dealer it was mostly serviced at. It's called campaign data work sheet. I got one for mine from the parts guy friend of mine.

It's actually called the "Job management" vin history derived from PIWIS tool. I will try to post mine so you can get an idea. I had a little warranty left on my car and I never have had any problems after it expired. I strongly believe that a well seasoned car with that mileage will have gone thru all the parts that would have failed already. Take a look at when the first failure occurs and you will see that at 20k, that's when the **** starts to fail. I paid 65K with the miles shown. I do have options you don't like back up sensors, rear wiper, rear differential, multi steering wheel, adaptive seats, stainless steel lit "turbo" guards and some other stuff but you doing good if the car checks out. Best of luck. FWIW, mine was purchased at that same dealership, what a coincidence.

Whether its this car or another I wouldn't shy away from a car with 40k plus miles. I bought mine with 38k over 3 years ago. I was able to upgrade the CPO for 2 more years.. Other than niggling little interior CF pieces the cars has been flawless. And it was in almost perfect condition when I bought it..
If you want a higher mileage car find one with PCCBs and all the other stuff you want. The ceramics will not not cost you more.. Like the others said just make sure they have been well treated. I still haven't done my rear pads and my car just turned 67k miles.
Be patient. There should be a lot more in the market once the 991 TT is out for a few months..
My car isn't worth much now (because of the miles) but I don't care.. That's not why I bought it..
Make sure you get exactly what you want! And in my opinion the 997TT is so far superior to the 996 TT you should lean to the 997..

Thanks guys! Atcbi5, that's a crazy coincidence! Good info on the records, I will see what I can get.
Phillipj, thanks for the feedback. This car is exactly what I wanted. Options, color, interior, everything. I wish it were lower miles but for the price I can afford normal maintenance on it. I've heard really good things about the standard breaks so the PCCBs weren't on my radar. It pretty much has everything else.

Thanks Philip, what are you driving? Have you driven both the 996tt and the 997tt?

I have black 2007 TT. With carbon interior and PCCB's.. I drove quite a few 996 TT's. The improvements in the interior in the 997 and and the overall look of the car (especially the headlights) made purchasing a 996 unacceptable to me.. Have a 996 Carrera in the past I didn't want to re live that again..
Go for the 997. You will never regret it..Make sure you get the sport seats. Plus there are so many little things you can do to make it look even more up to date like the 997-2.. Like LED Tail lights etc.. Good luck!
