I have a TTS and the brakes are an absolute marvel. Quiet as can be and incredible stopping power. No idea of what this lunging forward is all about. The grip and traction is simply stellar. I have owned 996 C2, 997 .1 S, currently own a 997.1 TT and the TTS and I can advise that the latter is the most satisfying, exciting and exhilarating vehicle of them all and by a significant margin.
Great to know, thanks. Now I'm even more anxious to find one. :-)

buying a TTS will not bring you happiness,

you will love the car, though!

A happy person who loves cars will be even happier with a TTS. It has enhanced my life.

Word is the front aero changes as speed rises. IIRC the amount the air dam is extended comes from air being pumped into a rubber bladder.

The air dam can be extended downward by several inches at speed yet at low speed when the bladder is deflated then raised enough to avoid dragging the thing.

997.1 TT is a Tip. It is my wife's car, although I drive it 70% of the time. She will not drive a MT.

Ok, than your statement preferring the Turbo S makes sense.

I drive both cars in manual mode most of the time.
