Default Ok happy to be here and be a 911 turbo owner.

Finally got one of my dream cars and its home in my garage now sleeping till spring.

I posted some pics in Jenners thread but guess post a few in this one as well.

My car is Rob's 993 car from this board. Very low mileage like 13,000 or so miles on the clock.
Its 2007 Arctic Silver with black interior. Sport chrono , sport adaptive seats.
Tipronic. Stock except for Led taillights and just got a BMC air filter for it.
Factory rims ,factory ride height. Not going to be messing with wheels and hate lowered cars. Well at least ones that you can't adjust from inside of the car like my SL55.

I might go with tuning and might add an electronic type of exhaust.

So few questions. What companies make electronic exhausts for my 997.1?Like some prices and personal opinions. Seems like no electronic cheaper than 4k or so ? Doesn't the factory have one that can fit the 997.1s?
I don't want to do headers or anything just likely the back muffler part . I loved the electronic exhaust on my 08 z06 that sold this spring.

Also reading think can put the deluxe steering wheel in my 997.1 ?
Is this true..?

I may also do a bit of carbon fiber interior maybe like cf a lot in my SL55.

I only got a brief drive in my car when they unloaded it as have to get it safetied here in BC. From the brief drive I noticed it felt very solid and rode not too bad on touring setting. Our roads here are really good anyway so not a huge deal if it does ride a bit hard and have other cars to drive anyway this will not be a daily driver.

Handling was great and brakes seemed really good as well. Maybe should have got the ceramic brakes but not going to track the car and don't think necessary. Only other option that might have been handy to have is heated seats since got used to that option in my ML350 and Infiniti G35x daily drivers and my SL55 has both heated and cooled seats. But not going to be driving this from about end of October to end of February anyway so not a big deal there. Do wish they would have at least put an aux jack for my ipod in my 911 turbo. My SL55 don't have it but my 2006 ML350 does. Again not a huge deal.

Only drove little bit so put it into boost a few times but didn't really get to see what the car can do. Was also pretty impressed with exterior and interior quality. I waited to get a silver car with black interior. Other choices were maybe white but too **** to own a black car. Well do own a black track only race car but got it super cheap. For daily driver prefer colors that are easier to keep clean and don't show every little thing.

But a black car does look very sharp when clean or at night..

I have not had time to shoot any really nice pics of my car yet do that in spring.

Here is pic of the car that have from Rob993.

Interior shot ,it looks gray in this pic but is really black.

Also here is shot posted in Jenners thread of my other baby my SL55. This one was taken by me.

Beautiful car, nice colour.

I am curious which rims you choose/like.

Btw. I love the triangle hart of the steering column. In my opinion is better looking than the round harts.

Super nice and welcome to the TT page! You'll have to come down in the spring to Vancouver and drive with our PCA Canada West Region. It's a pretty active group.

Welcome and congratulations If Rob didn't do a LED kit already you might want to consider one of those also, for more information Click Here.

So guys what about my questions?
What is available for electronic exhaust for my 997.1?
And can I put in full function steering wheel in my 997.1 . Think read you have to have harness and some other thing to do it? but can get those parts separately and then just have porches program it for the wheel or something like that?

1/ Exhaust : Europipe which I believe to be the best. Many happy customers around and no drone.
Kline also offers a good exhaust it seems, members who have one are happy and claim no drone.
Drone is the biggest problem on a turbo 997 so choose carefully.

2/ Yes, a MF steering wheel can be installed and programmed. You do not need extra wiring.

^What Dennis said...I am not an exhaust expert (not have any interest in them), but my reading on this forum has led me to think that Europipe is the choice...Run the search function and you will see...

(I have a Tubi on my 7TT...$4,500...nice quality and excellent fit, and lightweight, but it still does not sound like a Hemi! )

While it sounds like both of these exhausts mentioned above would sound better than stock I was hoping more for a exhaust that has valves and lets me change the sound at press of a button .I thought Porsche had one factory for the turbo cars but maybe that is just on the 997.2? I thought saw a 997.1 advertised with a Porsche adjustable sport exhaust somewhere can't remember where now?

Also would have hoped to find an exhaust for 2k or so , 4k or more sounds pretty darn overpriced for just a muffler and some piping. But for sure don't want to do headers. I guess another option might be to get an exhaust system used maybe.
