Default Brake question

I pulled out my 07 TT this morning and it has a bad brake noise on one wheel. It sounds like the pads aren't releasing and dragging on the rotor. I haven't done anything to the wheel/brake other than getting a new tire put on yesterday but there was no noise afterwards. The brakes still have a lot of life. Has anybody else had this and if so, what's the fix?

The dust shields are flimsy and sometimes can be bent (during wheel/suspension rework) and thus rub on the rotor. Could that be the case?

Did you powerwash and park the car last night?

That's a good idea, I'll check. Nope, no washing.

Maybe I should too! That saved me from pulling my wheel which would have meant going and buying a jack and all the other stuff. Heck, I'm making money today with that easy fix.
