Default 2007 997TT vs 2009TT

Hi guys,

I was thinking about selling my car and getting a 2009TT...

What are the differences btw the 07 vs 09?

Would you upgrade it?

If i sell my car should i sell it with the werks1 rear wing, front lip, OZ Superliggera rims & EP1 or i should sell it stock?

What would you do?

I also run a carfax and there is a problem...

-Dealer took title of this vehicle
while it was in inventory
Correction to record
MANUFACTURER BUYBACK
OR LEMON REPORTED

What is that mean?

It's always best to sell your car bone stock, unload the used parts later. The market for a modded car, unless its a ruf conversion, is very small. You'll attract many more buyers in stock condition.

Why do you want to sell Leo? You just did all that cool stuff to you car ...

I wouldn't consider the one you posted, obviously something really wrong with it for it to be so cheap. And you don't like the color either.

Lol

The color is horrible....

I don't want to sell it... I just saw a good deal for a 2009 997tt... CPO with 18k for $89k! Ahh and it's a black manual!!! Just like I like it... I don't mind keeping my car but that 2009 is a great deal!!!

I think the 2009 997tt is the most deireable, good engine, good tranny, modern PCM.
I would strip yours, as mentioned, then trade it in, sell/keep/reuse the parts.
Edit, just saw that 09 at north Houston, that car has all the right options, including a built in escort. Go for it!

That sounds good. I paid 73k for my 08 but then bought an extended warranty for 4k and some other crap.... I think my next one will definitely be CPO

My car is CPO, 2007. I paid 74k then I paid a lot of money to experiment different exhausts lol

By the way, how do you like the Techart exhaust?

I like the exhaust, it has a nice sound over 3-4k RPM and it's close to stock but w/ a deeper tone below that. So far so good!

Lemon Law cars should be cheaper than comparable cars on the market. Lemon Law Buyback means the car had an issue that a dealer could not fix to the customer's satisfaction after multiple attempts and PCNA bought back the car. The car may or may not have the issue currently. Be aware that Lemon Law cars generally can not be financed, one of the reasons that the value takes a significant hit. I would price a lemon law car 15% to 20% under what a clean carfax example would sell for. Buyer beware. Good luck with your purchase. FWIW, I would not sell my 2008 to get into a 2009 just for the newer PCM, you would have to pay a significant premium to make the switch - you would be getting wholesale value for your current car, and paying close to retail on the 2009. You would then have to pay tax (on the difference in value of your trade / new car) title and registration / doc dealer fees. All for the newer PCM...

Leo,

I agree. Take all of your mods off the car if you are going to sell. A stock car is easier to sell or trade and you will never get close to what you put in to it. Just put those goodies on the 09 if you decide to go that route..
