Default Clear Bra for 997tt

I've got an '09 997TT. I recently purchased the car and am thinking of putting on a clear bra as I'm noticing that I'm getting some rock dings on the front. Has anyone done this (I assume many of you have)? What should I expect to pay for the front of the car to have the clear bra? (not looking for cheap, but looking to have a ballpark of what this should cost)

Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the new ride. General rull of thumb is 1.25-1.75% of the value of the car. Somehow the math always works out Dont wait any longer get it done.

Thank you. When I ran the math, I figured around that price.

I paid $1400 for front to windshield, all hood, fenders, mirrors.

Had it done on the TT within hours of taking delivery.

Had it done on the 993 30 days after a front end respray. Lets paint cure.

Depending on your miles and existing chips that will still show, may be too late or not worth it.

I think I'm going to go for it. It doesn't look bad *yet* - so want to do it before it could get to that level. It's very minor now but want to maintain the car.

I just got a 997tt and I was quoted $1700 for xpel ultimate film. That covers hood, fenders, bumpers, headlights, and mirrors.

I use Gus at technik1 in the city on 48th n 11th ave, in and out while you're at work. Very slick work, ck him out.
I just do the front bumper anymore, more than enough IMO.

Gus knows my car well. He's been working on it recently for rear LED lights, front HID fog lamps (daytime running, similar to 2010 cars), iPod hookup, and more. He's good people.

I reccomend doing the entire hood. I only did one-third of mine and the only stone chips are on the section not done. It has three small chips. Also make sure you use quality installer.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I wasn't thinking about doing the whole front hood... but maybe I should.

I have the front fenders , headlights, full hood, windshield pillars, side skirts, rear wheel flares, and rear bumper wheel well edges. It has really saved my paint

This was done before I got the car. I would have to agree with C2 and Sobrut911. Do the whole hood. My paint is still perfect after 6 years.

Yup, extremely satisfying not having a single rock chip anywhere, do the entire hood and halfway up the fenders. Expel rocks.

I am probably in the minority here...but I don't like clear bras and have never used them on any of my cars. I like to see the shine, the metalic paint, the deep gloss, etc. For sure these bras do a great job protecting the finish, but for me they kill the color...yes, I have some chips, but it is what is...IMO

Igooz the expel clear bra is as shiney as any paint job I have seen. I think they have improved over the last couple years.
