Default Sport adaptive seats - opinions needed

I have an opportunity to purchase a set of leather sport adaptive seats with the heat option, normal wear on the bolsters off a 2011 911 S for about $2k.

I have a 2008 TT ,black leather seats with Porsche crests, not heated.

They would need to be dyed from blue to black and installed. I am guessing 4 hours shop time ($600). I am not sure about adding the heated seat function to my TT or the costs involved.

Has anyone done this conversion and would it be worth it ? Another consideration is I am 6' 2, about 225 lb. I would assume more rubbing on the side bolsters as a result .

Opinions would be appreciated

Somebody has a set of black *** in the FS section from a 08 gt3, would fit better.
Not sure 997.2 stuff can work in a 997.1.
Re the heat I think u just plug it in and buy the switch.

The heat is a nice to have, but the adaptive part is a gotta have for me.

Lower back problems all my life, the difference when I test sat before ordering the car, is night and day.

Lumbar support and adjustment is the same on comfort seats and adaptive sport seats.
The difference between the two are the adjustable side bolsters , hence the term 'adaptive', you can adapt the (cornering) support of the seat for different occasions, f.e track, highway, etc.
Seat cushion side bolsters and backrest side bolsters can be opened or closed.

My seat of choice is this one, no adjustments what so ever but seating is perfect :

Fantastic seats. I've had both and the *** are definately the better choice. With the regular seats I felt much more roll-out during spirited driving on twisty roads. I'm 5' 10 / 195 and have had no problems. For me it's now a deal breaker on any car I would purchase. I would check out the black GT3 seats and avoid the dying process. GL.

My car came with AS seats. I couldn't agree more that the GT2 seats which I installed are so much better.
