Cleaning wheels with Carbon Ceramic Brakes
Hello All,
Was on Ferrari Chat the other day and read where Ferrari/Ferrari owners are only recommending washing the wheels/brakes with just water only as other cleaners even soap can damage the ceramic rotors
I guess that's why people don't drive Ferraris in Rain
OK Joking aside, what do you all think?

I think Ferrari has its own line to cleaning products. Its $100 for the wheel/brake cleaner but it does come w/ a prancing pony sticker.
Its ok as long as its not acidic and ph neutral.

I never worried too much about it. That being said I also never really put soap on the rotars. Just sprayed them off. What they were was SLIPPERY right after a wash until they dried off with the braking friction. As for damaging them? I agree - sounds like BS.

Yea they bake at 1000+ degrees celcius during manufacturing but a little soap will trash them. This is typical car nut paranoia which; admittedly, I can relate to somewhat.

P21s gel wheel cleaner is safe for Carbon Ceramic Brakes. It is used by High end detailers that work on these types of cars! I use P21S exclusively when I’m working around these with carbon rotors and refinished wheels.

It's true.. Soap and water will melt Ferrari composite discs.. It's advisable that everyone buy a special cleaner from me.. It's $200 a half ounce.. Expensive but it smells like Maranello..
