I believe Vivid is advertising a softronic special. Check out their 6spd post on the turbo vendor forum

Don't get too hung up on vivids claims, as Tom pointed out softronic claims a +80 hp gain and that's probably realistic. Get that and an exhaust and your car will be a monster!

I called Josh at Vivid. We had a very nice long conversation about Softronic and other performance options. Bottom line - 5% discount off Softronic. Claimed 615 hp results from ECU reflash, exhaust, K&N's and a very cool day when their test car was dynoed. Realistically, 550 hp is the norm-

Well then that is what they should advertise. But in any case that's in line with what everyone here has been saying, go for it plus an exhaust and you'll be very pleased.

Vivid? Vivid? Oh yeah.. That's a reliable source.. Art are you freaking kidding me? You listen to anything those scumbag filthy liars say?

Brother please understand that they are the worst of the worst.

I just think about them and I start tearing phone books in half..

How they got to be the exclusive distributor for Softronic escapes me...

Please DO NOT use and data or claims from Vivid!!!!!

Josh is lying piece of &&&& just like the rest of them at Vivid... Are you freakin serious? You believe that crap? A really cold day? A K & N filter DOES NOTHING!!!!! 615 hp? on pump gas? Oh lord we are all prey for these vultures..

Gentlemen please get a hold of yourselves.. Do you think the engineers at Porsche just forgot about the airbox and filter? That if they were able to get 10 hp from an air filter they wouldn't have done that?

At the end of the day It's really not important to me whether I've got 550hp or 570hp with this tune as I'm perfectly happy with the real world "feel" of the car given what I paid for the tune. It's more about understanding why the claim is 615hp, and if this claim is incorrect why it is it allowed to be perpetuated

Okay Dan Malmerstein is guy who edits peoples reviews of his products on his website .. So I'm sure he is a really good source about his own HP claims.. I'm sure he'll be honest This weasel used to sell cell phones and then realized he could make a fortune off of idiots like us that are so HP greedy. He is a scumbag... I deeply dispise that person. Enjoy your Softronic tune and be glad he has nothing to do with it.

And stop buying their crap! Angry me? Maybe...But for dam good reason..

Phillip I don't think your perspective is unique. I've heard it from many other as well
One da you'll have to give me the dirt over a couple glasses of wine!!

Thankfully the softronic tune is not theirs and the gentlemen behind the tune has a good rep from what I have heard.

Wow, didn't know this, thanks! I've learned that whenever I consider a "mod" or have a question/s I always ask the users first. You have the firsthand knowledge and share your thoughts and opinions without hestitation. I'm still pressing ahead with Softronic but from another source. I've already purchased the plugs.

My indie recommended I also replace my 2 OEM plastic diverter valves with 2 Forge piston valves http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...000&cat=150000 and add a sprint booster for better throttle response. Necessary?
