These are really catching on arent they? I got a 2008 Turbo a week ago and the first thing I did was get the Dectanes (I had my eye on them for my previous 997S but never pulled the trigger).

They were plug & play for me, didnt attach the resistors.

I'm not much of a mechanic but these were easy enough with the exception of figuring out how to get the old lights harness connection to unsnap and come off.

In all I spent about 30 minutes on the project.

Nice. Any Canadian distributors or order direct from Germany?

Check ebay for depo lights they are much cheaper than from europe, but make sure seller has tons for positive feedback

Depo is the Asian manufacturer (china?) and dectane is the EU distributor. From what I've read all these companies selling them on the web are all pretty much buying from the same Asian manufacturer (depo) and dectane just happened to be the first. I also gleaned that dectane had exclusive rights in 2011 so everyone just got to know these as dectane lights

Don't shoot me if I've misstated any facts, but this is what I was able to piece together from researching these lights for a couple of weeks

that's who I bought mine from as well. Mostly positive reviews on ebay and 6speed, and his price is right

parev raffi, sounds like you've had the lights for a little while. have you had any fogging issues or water issues with these lights after giving the car a wash?

they look great on your white car. I saw Tom's white TT a few weeks ago and when I was hunting for my TT I was looking for meteor or white, very hard to find a white 07 or 08. All things equal I'd choose white over meteor, looks sharp with the tint as well

btw what wheels do you have?

(nice job on the 11-99 plate cover, need to find one as well)

they are champion rf67 in 19in, i have been through many wheels but my top choice is any simple 1 piece 10 spoke wheel with no lip, champion has always been my favorite. i really wanted 20s but not many tire choices so will hold out for now.
i really like white and the greys or cobalt blue.
slate or meteor would look great.
the dectane/depo look good on any color, but the tinted version looks better on darker cars.
the biggest factor is that on turbos they really go well with the exhaust tip and opening.

I saw them on a fellow enthusiasts car 2 weeks ago and he bought them from an ebayer named simon. this link is to one of his ebay ads:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-2009-LO...e0a529&vxp=mtr

email him directly at: fish123@speedstersource.com
and let him know a fellow 6speed.com member sent you his way. the crystal clear lights are probably the ones you want so be sure to mention that in your email, and the smoked ones are shown in the ad above. total shipped in CA is $550

FYI, to be 100% clear I am not vouching for or recommending this seller. I totally went by the experience of one other person I met, read his reviews on ebay and 6speed and thought his price was right. Please do your own DD before buying from Simon (fish123)

Good luck

Just curious, does the packaging state 'dectane' or 'depo' when you buy from fish ebay ?
