Cornering balancing.
Would like some feed back from the board if Cornering Balancing is worth having done or not. I have the occasional alignment done when needed but is corner balancing left for those enthusiasts who primarily track their cars? Would there be any benefit to the street driver? Thanks for your input.

When I tracked my old 996TT, I corner balanced the car
when I raced the RSA, I corner balanced the car
I "know" it helped, but may well have been placebo effect
paid good money, got faster, must have been the alignment

That was a smartass reponse earlier
I did not have accurate data tracking before I corner balanced the car
I had the car corner balanced, "felt" improvement, but who doesn't after they have done a go-fast mod done?
after I got a good data recorder, I found I needed video to help interpret the data - a slipperry slope

At the Pocono track I was about 2 seconds a lap faster after in my C4S. I corner balanced it for just me in the car (I had them corner balance it with 200Lbs in the drivers seat). The time difference was due to the balance of the car in right hand turns (a marked difference).
You need to decide what you want, i.e., more spirited driving with just you in the car or when there are 2 people in the car. If it's just you, you would gain more out of corner balance than if you mostly ride with a passenger.
Just my 2 dinars!

If you have stock coilovers (shocks/springs) on your Turbo you can not corner balance the car. Only GT3 and 2 cars come with height adjustable coilover and can be corner balanced.

I don't think you'd see a big difference driving a new car on the street....

Again thanks for the input. This sounds like one mod that isn't worth it for me being a predominantly street driver. My next question would be, do you really notice a signifecant difference if done properly on a track car?

Jay,
It really depends on how far off the car is before you do the corner balance.
