Manheim Access
Does anyone have Manheim Access?
We have an '08 turbo cab with 21k miles that we are looking to trade in. The dealer is giving a, in my opinion, extremely low number. I'd love to know what they are trading for on Manheim.
Any help is appreciated.

And a follow up question... How big of an impact should the color have on price? The car is Cobalt blue, which I think is a beautiful color and looks great. The dealer is saying that it is an undesirable color and that if it were black, silver or white their offer would be in the mid $80s.
I am aware that a dealer will always say that the color they are buying is 'undesirable' but I think this is pretty ridiculous.

I'm a little biased but seriously doubt cobalt blue is a negative. I get lots of compliments on the color of my car. I've found most dealers tell you BS why your car isn't worth as much as you think on trade regardless of the color or options. You should try to sell on ebay autotrader, cars.com, etc.

There's a very helpful guy on the bimmerfest.com leasing/buying section who can run a report for you. I don't recall his name, but his avatar depicts a goat or some similar animal.
I think the cobalt may cause the car to sell slower than a black or silver one, but not necessarily at a lower price. If you price the car reasonably according to real-world market prices and advertise it properly, there's no reason for it not to sell in a couple weeks.

Blue is pretty but not a popular color. With 21k wholesale is 75 to 78k.

I traded in my 997 C4S that is PTS Blue. All three dealers here said the same BS. A day later the P dealer sold it to another non Porsche dealer and made $13k.
Dont give up easily, I did.

I think that blue C2S in the picture is a C2S Cab Launch car. And it's missing sports chrono which severely limits its market - more than the color if you ask me. If you look on Autotrader or cars.com you will see a lot of Cobalt Blue cabs identical to this one - all without the sports chrono package.
Used white C2 are also all over ebay, cars.com, etc. They are also missing the sports chrono which is a deal killer in a PDK car if you ask me.
I found this explanation some time back...
================================
When Porsche starts a new model or major revision (997.2 in this case), the company produces a bunch of similar introductory cars that most of the dealers get for the new model in the first model year. Each dealer, or region, usually gets only one of a particular car.
The major 2009 997.2 PDK Launch cars were:
C2--white/gray interior
C2S-porsche racing green/tan
C4S--meteor gray/black

Thanks to everyone for all the input. For now we are holding on to the TT Cab. The lease is up in the middle of December. We just spec'd out a 2012 Ferrari California and got a production slot that should have the car arriving in December as well. So most likely we will just trade the car to the Ferrari dealership. Not interested in selling it on my own because we would have to first pay taxes to buy out the lease and that would pretty much absorb a good portion of the equity.
As for the color... I personally think that Cobalt Blue is amazing and wouldn't even consider buying a 911 in silver, black or white. But, that is why we got cobalt blue.
