Default Black wheels on Meteor (more pics)

Just got my wheels powder coated flat black, picked the car up today... Quite excited. Step one done.
Next up is rear deck script in flat black (Thank you Eric!) which is on the way, and dual tips which I bought from another forum member (Thank you Malmasri) which are being ceramic coated flat black as well.

It was a beautiful day here today, so gave her a good wash and one more coat of z5...

The center caps I did myself, it was a very easy job, have done it before on my C4S. First, sanded the plastic caps around the logo with 600 grit paper to give something to the paint to stick on (the turbo centers are a bit shinier than the painted wheel centers that I did before). You can see the difference in the attached pics.
Then, masked the P logo carefully, with flexible tape (to follow the curves) and used a blade to cut the corners. Spray painted them flat black, and after a few hours of drying time, gave them a layer of matte clearcoat. Piece of cake. They are going on tomorrow morning.

Here are some shots of the car with the new shoes and that shiny z5 coat. Sorry the driveway is narrow, but you will get a full shot once the center caps are on.

P.S. That last shot is not for you to comment on the dirty wheel-well but on the deep shine of the door!!!

Wheels look great!
Why you don't paint DIY the rear badge? Super easy.

I was affraid it would flake. Its chromed plastic! With lots of curves which would be hard to sand paper.

Thought of buying the primed version from the dealer to paint myself but I ended up buying it from Bumperplugs. I think it is the safest way to make sure it won't flake. This is part of the car that gets soaped, polished etc. It has to hold!

Very well done. I was planning on doing the same with the wheels and badge (matt black) when my car arrives. I never thought of the exhaust tips, great idea! Thanks.
