On Audi depreciation.....I have a friend who paid $93K for an 08 Audi S6 (V10) 7 months ago and was just offerd $53K by the selling dealer for trade in!
Uhmm. Cos it's Audi?
I'm sure E63's and M5's are suffering a similar fate.

I paid $101K OTD (no mark up over msrp) for my 2006 M5 - dealer offered me $39K for it in December, it has 20,000 miles on it, 18 months of warranty and free service left, why would I do that? The dealer offered me a great lease on a 2008 M5 (trade or no trade) of $1,096 per month (including tax) for 24 months with $2,500 drive off, which was $600 per months less than the lease I could have gotten in 2006. So timing is everything.
I kept my car, it is a great car. I figured total lease cost was $29K and my car was valued at $39K in trade - so that means end of the lease my car needs to be worth $10k - and not have any major issues in the 6 months it is out of warranty. Seems like a pretty good bet to make.
Why sell in these times if you don't have to unless you just need a change and if you do and you can - enjoy it!
