Default Overboost not functioning?

I have had my 997 Turbo for a few months now, and I can't seem to activate the overboost. I have put it in sport mode, and tried flooring it many times in the 5000 RPM range. Is there supposed to be something that lights up that indicates that it is in overboost mode, or is it something that is just felt?

Overboost only functions if you floor it in the 2000-5000rpm range. Drop the hammer on the highway at 60mph in 6th. The up arrow should come on in the boost gauge

set your screen to show the boost in bars and floor it between 2000 and 4000, you'll see the boost go to 1.2 bars in sport mode, vs 1.0 bars without overboost. you should also feel the difference in throttle response very easily.
beyond 5000 rpm, the car is the same with or without sport mode.

The lever on the lower left hand side, tap it up or down and you'll see @ idle "psi" screen dead center where you'd see "average mpg" " navi instructions" ect.

IF not, then you must go into settings and make sure that it's selected to show up on the screen.
