Default Colgan Bra's

Colgan is offering a free bra to anyone who will lend them a 997TT long enough for them to take a pattern - I can't imagine that taking more than a few hours. (The vinyl bras are not the most aesthetic thing - but they can be taken on and off when needed for long trips, winter driving, etc.)

They are located in Irvine, CA.

With paint as "soft" as that used on P-cars, I'd stay away from this type of protection - moisture, dirt, rubbing - all these things could cause problems.

Do you think Porsche's paint is softer than a 2001 BMW-M5? I had a Colgan Bra for my M5 I used it for long trips, or whenever I was driving in conditions that may cause damage. I always removed it as soon as I got home - never had a problem. I agree prolonged use with no precautions would damage the paint.

I also had an 1997 BMW-M3 I drove to Colorado from North Carolina. I encountered conditions where salt/sand had been placed on the road. I had no protection, when I got home the front of my car felt like sandpaper - 1000s of tiny pit marks.

I had a 3M film clear bra installed on my 997. A stone not only chipped the film, but it also chipped the paint underneath.

By the way the contact at Colgan is Jake Colgan.

Not my cup of tea. I've had the leather bra on my 993 and it scratched up the paint and left hazy spots on it.
