How Long to Build a TT?
From the time it's started, how long does it take to complete the building of a TT and then how long to get it to the boat for travel?

David,
I recall my car was in production for 10 days. After that, 30 days to get from factory to my garage. Can't tell you about various legs of the journey here.

Thanks...I've heard as few as five and as many as 10 days...provided all the parts are available for assembly.
Now I'd welcome one of those orders that come in early for no reason.
Boat trip and drop off at dealership should be at least 8 but not more than 14 days (Brunswick, GA is port of entry and Jacksonville is final destination).

Mine has been pushed back too, Monday I need to call in and find out the scoop. I wish there was a phone number to call where you could get the cars status (like BMW). i don't like bugging the dealer all the time. Will let you know guys.

They had a small fire in the plant a few weeks back, cleanup shut the place down 5 days, that's the scoop.
FWIW saw a nice slate TT being prepped at the dealer on Fruday, lucky SOB.

something must have happened since I think we were all told we'd be moving UP and now all 3 of us have been pushed back a week.
Was talking to my dealer the other day and he was telling me how terrible porsche's system is. He just had a car show up at the dealer that according to the system was still in production. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Do you guys know how I can check the build date of my car? My dealer has been giving me different build dates and i dont believe him anymore.. Is there any official paper from P that comes when a car is ordered so I can ask to see?

Yes ,the fire story was confirmed, minor, just enough to gum up the works for a few days.

Think I'll wait, I've waited months already for my exact specs. The black one is pretty much stripped down, doesn't have *** seats, heated seats, SC or even a sport shifter. According to their website.
