Default Tip for Seeing 10 Seconds of 17 PSI

Tonight while driving, I serendipitously discovered 10 seconds of full boost at 17psi.

I usually drive the freeways in 4th gear. Tonight while in Sport Mode, I upshifted to 5th and then to 6th. In 6th gear at 60 mph, the Turbo is barely turning over at around 2000 RPM's. I then floor the accelerator to see the boost build to 17psi (It's around 45 degrees outside at 700ft). I continued to floor it and enjoyed seeing the 17psi remain for 10 seconds or so.

Anyone else with a manual have any other tips for seeing 10 seconds of full boost??

Yeah, simply tow a 10,000 pound trailer up a steep incline in 3rd gear and you will stay at maxumum boost until something blows.

I heard that the Z06 tows 11,000 pounds, and uses 90W gear oil in the crankcase. That's one helluva car!

Am I reading this right - at 60 mph, floor it in sixth for 10 seconds of 17 PSI boost? I assume that at the end of the ten seconds you are exceeding 180 MPH and approaching lift-off. Even by rennlist standards, this is a crazy post.

You mean overboost feature that comes with the turbo sport chrono pack? that offers the 10 sec of overboost (i think 1.1 bar prolly around 17 psi). thats what that feature is all about correct?
