If cars are showing up at lots in the bay area unspoken for thats a good sign that discounts could be coming sooner than later. These are nice cars but lack a few key uptions. The silver one doesn't have adaptive seats but otherwise is optioned ok. Limited slip is another must have for me. Anyhow that one should go quick. If I'm spending that kind of money on a car I prefer to option it out myself and wait for it...for me thats part of the fun. But thanks for the heads up. I also think there are 2 available at Rector Porsche in Burlingame (at least as of yesterday).

i agree-thanx for the heads-up. a few weeks ago, there was someone on the board who knew of a car, but refused to tell where it was unless you pm'ed him, and asked him where the dealer was. he gave a reason that he did it this way because he didn't want the dealer spammed, and he wanted credit for the sale, and this reason, and that reason.....mrpc12, my hats is off to you. i think you are doing it the right way. you have info and you are sharing it with others, no pretenses. thank you.

Just saw an Arctic Silver 6 speed on the Stevens Creek showroom floor. The buyer backed out. I passed though as the only options it has is a CD Changer and floor mats. $124K MSRP. I'm not sure it will be easy to sell this one without Sport Chrono.

i agree. i can tell you that the car has more zip with the sports button on. why would anyone buy a turbo that is slightly detuned?

Someone who can only afford payments on a 997TT if they leave out the Sports Chrono option?

For posers they don't need the exta power, they just need the shell of the car to 'pose' and maybe the CD changers for songs when they drive around to show off.

Maybe they weren't making payments, some of us prefer to pay cash for cars. So how much power does the sport chrono actually make? Maybe the real posers are the guys with the warts on the dash. I ordered the sport chrono myself, but not to impress anyone.

Probably an ECU tune can get you the power back anyway. Plus if someone can afford $124K then they can afford $125K. I think someone just wasn't paying attention to their order or the salesperson was inept to not convince them to add it.

Th 997TT follows in the footsteps of the 996TT and will be overproduced.
No need to fall all over yourself to find/locate/buy one.....no matter when you want one, PCNA/PAG will get it for you.

Some logic will apply for the GT3-RS. If there is a market demand in the USA, there will be cars available. It is not the old Porsche with limited production.

Just IMHO...

100% correct....Sad, but true.
I look at 993 factory slant nose Turbo S , American Roadsters, Weissach edition 911's, even the RSAmerica, and wonder what ever happened to that company.

It's...g o n e

Let me tell you a story;

Once was a time in my industry your word meant something...it's gone. Now people make and break deals as though it was a bazzar and hire lawyers to clean up the mess.

Support a new company with great ideas/product? They use you, tell you how much they love you (at that moment) and then...they're gone after the flip and you're doing business with strangers, or worse yet, the folks in your industry you've been trying to not do business with for three years.

Truth is guys, everyone's on the make, really. I have an order for an RS. The dealer is trying to pack me away with extras like wheels/tires/cage etc. I think I'm gonna pass because I'm kinda sure that the supply of RS's will magically fill the demand within a year or so and we'll buy them at a discount too (sacrilidge, I know).
