The number of TT around all depends on where you lived, I hardly see another here where I lived but I will probably see half a dozen just on the same block if I lived in Beverly Hills or something.

btw, is that an '69 camaro ss with roots blower and dual quads in your avatar? i can't see the car that well ... so that would be my guess.

Thanks for the 9000 number - didn't know that.
Excellent vision on the small avatar! It is a 67 Camaro RS/SS original 396 4spd. I first restored it, got bored, and then went nuts. Put the 396 in my garage and put in a 502 w/roller cam, 8-71 blower, and two big Barry Grant carbs. Stuck a Jerico vertical gate transmission behind it to handle the 700ft-lb or so of torque. It is scary fast. There are better pictures at my "hidden car page" www.assessit.com/Cars.htm
Thanks again

very nice car what a stroke of luck, finding a rare car like that ... and then building it up. do i ever miss the old days when you could do most of the mechanical work yourself.
how about a trade ... your 67 camaro ss and a 69 z28 (hugger orange preferred) for my 997tt?

Thx for the offer - I am going to hang on to my 67 Camaro RS/SS for while. The values are starting to go nuts for these cars and I have all the original parts. Plus I just like looking at

Sorry, but with the 997 Turbo already out almost a year and the 08s a few months away, 996 turbo has no chance of keeping any value, it's just a fact of life for owning a Porsche, unlike Ferraris, which tends to hold value much better than any other cars.

the only porsches that will hold its value are the rare limited edition cars with production runs of less than 200 [pick your number] or so like the rsr, 959, gt3 cup grand-am, etc. here's an example of a collectable porsche ... only 12 in existence.
