On a related note, is there a service manual that we can get? The ones I see out there are all for earlier generations.

I have checked with Bentley and several other book suppliers, nothing but for the new Boxsters.

Same as doing a 996TT. Pretty simple. Just take a little time draining all the tanks (engine, oil tank, and turbos) Just takes a few crush washers, about 9 qts of oil and a filter.

Here is a simple solution, buy the oil and filter yourself. Find a local place you trust, pay the normal $20.00 for an oil change and tip the guy $5.00 or $10.00 and watch him do the change. Believe me he is excited to get the tip. And they treat the car equally as good as the dealer. You just need to remind the guy to wait 20 minutes or so until all the oil drains out.
1. he uses his lift
2. he drains the oil into his collection container.
3. you relax with an ice cold beverage.

This is just for an oil change. Anything more take it to someone who specializes in P cars.

Often people think they can take advantage of someone just because they have an expensive car. Do you know how to use spell check?
