In very bad cases the gap between the hood and the front quarter panels is also far from uniform. Before anyone buys one I would strongly encourage that the car be checked out by a professional. BMW is now offering a fix which is essentially a strut brace across the engine connecting the shock towers. Of course if the frame is already bent you're screwed. This has been a huge issue in Z8 owner circles and there has been talk of litigation. Since I sold my car I haven't been keeping up to date (having too much fun with my TT!).
Thanks for the information. I was flirting with a Z8 for awhile. I'm glad I decided to stay in the P Car fold.

I have some pics but am having a hell of a time posting them. When I try and download the pictures on Rennlist, it runs forever ("downloading..."). Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would also be happy to email the pictures to someone more talented than I.

Can't wait to see your pictures ! Ordered the same color. Post a ton of them and don't forget the interior shots as well. Sometimes its really hard to capture these metallic colors on paper. They really come alive in person. Congratulations!
