Try going to Porsche USA website and doing a dealer search within 100 miles of you. Here is a seal grey turbo at Porsche of Downtown LA:

Here's a turbo

Thanks for the tip, but I think it's sold already. Anyway, there are too many options on this car for me.

There's a beauty for sale for $84k in Cleveland, Oh. I saw it over the holidays looking for a 964 turbo. He had a black and silver and just sold the black one. Marshall Goldman has been selling exotics cross country for 30 years ( no affiliation). www.mgmsl.com

Thanks for the Roslyn tip and the other recommendations. I have e-mailed at least 15 dealerships around country. I have a tip on order with a January build date and with a late February delivery, however, I really want to go with a manual and it is too late to change my order unless I want a delay on the delivery. So, I have decided to see if I can find one myself.

Looks like Porsche is building tips now. One of my local dealers has an open slot for February tip build and I know of another dealer with an unsold tip coming in late this month. Best bet is dealers in the Northeast and now is the best time.

Southern California dealers are charging over sticker unless you either order the car or you are a good past client. This would be my first porsche and I really don't have any relationships with any of the dealers. I agree with looking further north or even out of state.

I've got a Feb build that I probably am not going to end up taking because I have a March build GT3 on order.

I believe he's looking for a 997TT--not a 993TT.

MRPC12: Thanks for your offer, but I was trying to see if I can get something this month. I'm actually on allocation for a January build date and a February delivery. I picked a Tiptronic which I have since changed my mind and I'm now looking to get a manual.

Where'd they go? Saw your post this morning and on my way into the city stopped by to see them. The salesguy looked at me like I was nuts when I told him I heard 4 TT's were dropped off yesterday LOL. He said they only had one car, used with about 500 miles.

Hey Max,

I live in SoCal. and landed my TT in August. But I obviously had to go out of state for it.. Got mine in Portland Oregon and drove it back.. What a drive !!

Here is what you need to do.. GET ON THE PHONE... Go to Porsche website and go to dealer locator. Start casting your line. Start in California and call EVERY dealer. Then try Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, etc. etc.
(I print every dealership in the state.. then with a piece of paper and a pen, i start calling every one.. I make notes, who I spoke to, what they had, how much, etc..) If you are persistent, you may very well get lucky.. But the car is not going to fall in your lap.

I called no less than 50 dealerships before I landed my whale.. But I had one of the first ones on the road, I paid MSRP, and it was optioned almost perfect.

B
