9 months I waited,--13 June was my magic date in Zuffenhausen. Time to work on the garage and get it snapped into shape. That's how I spent the time,--waiting the SECOND time for it to arrive stateside.

Drove the big SUV yesterday...while it's nice and comfy I am starving for performance...only one week until the build...just one week to go...

Maybe I'll go harrass the dealer now to blow off some steam...one week to go...

Mine is snailing it's way over now! I am not a patient person. This is teaching me a lesson or aggravavting me or both! Can't figure it out.

Currently I dream of burning-out at one particular dealer's front door who treated me like dirt. One of those "judged-by-the cover" stories. I think I will reserve from actually doing that...

New arrival date to the dealer is Jan 10th!

raclaims,
Your post made me laugh because it reminded me of how I felt last summer when I ordered my 2007 Carrera S. Order went in first week of May and car delivered first week of September. For four months I was going through what you are going through now. Looking back, I can laugh at it. The car was worth the wait. Yours will be too.

Thanks Jay...I visited my sister today and drove much of the way behind a sweet black 997 C2S...even my wife said..."damn that car looks great"

It only made the wait more painful...over an hour staring at the rear of another Porsche!

Default hey raclaims - I'm a fellow jerseyite with a black 997tt

in Bergen county - if you're close by, come on over and you can take your own pictures. Got my car 6 months ago from Jack Daniels, after 6000 miles, this car has captured my soul. Fast runs up the Saw Mill north will seal the deal

You have it bad! I have to wait until March '07 until delivery of a Tip (it is the better car). Although I do have 4 911s to keep me company in the meantine.

RSA...not so sure I agree a Tip is the better car but to each his own.

Just heard...my car has completed production...now the real OCD will kick in! Damn...I got through a few days without going nuts over this and now it's back big time!

I am with you, I truly enjoy my 6 speed. I have been driving turbo Porsche's since 1991 and they have always been manual transmissions. You will be very happy when you get your car. I have had my 07 tt for 8 days and have been smiling from dawn to dus

i have had a porsche since 1986-about 9 different cars. i live within 8 miles of jack daniels, and for one reason or another, i have been unable to buy even a single car from them. either the price was way too high, or the sales staff would never get back to me, etc. in the late 80's, i went to their old showroom in fairlawn, i was dressed in sweatpants-they told me that i didn't look economically able to be a customer. have you bought other cars from them? was this experience a pleasant one? did they want over list for the turbo? by the way-enjoy that car- i love my new turbo too. without a doubt, the best car that i have ever had.

Default I wanna cry

TT arrives in SD on the 6th, hits the dealer on the 10th, and I dont return from Kaui (or however you spell it) until the 15th

She will be all alone for 5 whole, long, cold, miserable and boring days without me.

I think I will get sick and fly back early-any suggestions?

Default Saw your thread and I share your pain!

raclaims, congrats on the car!

Found out yesterday that I have a production number and my 997tt build date was 13 Dec!

The news totally floored us since we were expecting a March/April Build. Unfortunately, when informed of the good news, I did not have the smarts at the time to ask for a probable delivery date. Worse, my salesperson is now unavailable for the next two weeks and the "holiday staff" either do not have access to the info or do not want to get invovled.

I have this fear that the car will arrive and sit for a week or two before someone decides to tell me. Have you found anyway to get the current production status of the vehicle short of a "vacationing salesperson".
