Default Lifespan of 997tt model

For how long can we expect the 997tt to be the current 911tt model?

I believe the lifespan of the 996tt was about 6 years, from 2000-2006.

Can we expect the 997tt to be curent until 2013-2014?

996tt actually was available from 2001-2004. In 2005 when the 997 became available they continued 996tt production as a new "S" version for one year (essentially the same car with the X50 package plus PCCB). If Porsche follows the same pattern, the 997tt will continue in production until the 997 replacement comes out plus one year with "upgrades". I don't think Porsche will be able to get 8 years out of this 997 platform with all of the competition out there. Just my .02

Unlike the 996 though, there should be a restyled 997TT to include rear LED and the latest 997 evolution. The 996TT precluded the changes in the restyled 996. Not this time.
