Here is the basis of the video.
They rate the 997TT best in overall performance, and interior. They do find the interior of the Porsche boring. They said that the Porsche was comfortable both in city as well as long drives. They also rate the handeling as spectactular. For the money they seem to like the M6 (which they rate 2nd in the sport vehicles.) They where impressed with the active handling of the M6 as well. In terms of the Lamborghini, they rate it last and make some reference to a" Italian hymn"...it rings out only as an Italian showpiece being that it was outperformed by both other cars. They also said that the handling of the Lambo was not that great.
Have to say that the M6 was very impressive. How pissed off would you be in your Lambo after getting crushed by a M6 with Dad and the kids.

I thin k the m6 will outrun the turbo above 130mph.I was suprised when i drove the turbo because the acceleration up to say 125mph is unbelievable but i noticed a drop after that and my m6 feels quicker at higher speeds.Autocars top speed run also showed that ..the m6 was only 1or 2 mph slower at 160 odd mph.
The m6 is a great car..its going now to make way for the turbo.

I have a very hard time believing that a G would outrun a 997tt at >130MPH. I've had multiple 996tt and a 993tt and they always pulled very hard up high. It could be the turbo at work at this altitiude. I've not had a watch on them but the G feels faster in the 20-80 range.
Sometimes I read the magazines and wonder where they come up with some of their strong statements.

Last Wed evening I was at Gingerman Raceway for an open track night and there were several BMW's there including an M6 and a Dinan SC M3 with 463HP. They were driven by people who were known by the track employees so I assumed they were regulars. I have an EVO stage 2 01 TT with a LWFW setup and that M6 was not capable of keeping up anywhere on the track. I passed him on the back straight with little effort and the next time I was trying to pass he spun trying to muscle the car around. Now do not get me wrong, I think BMW makes wonderful cars but it is not a track car. It had so much body roll in the corners, i was surprised it went as well as it did. As far a boulevard cruiser it is probably unmatched. As for the SC M3, that car and driver worked very well. I did get by him easily on the straight but it handled well in the corners. In the spirit of full disclosure, they had 2 ZO6's as well and one had his way with me, but he was on slicks and resembled a slot car in the twisites. On the straight we were matched well, but unfortunately the road had turns in it! Kevin

Perhaps the 997tt has temperature problems with the VTG turbos at higher speeds?
That would be a killer though.
But if you look at the 0-200kph time of 12.3s that is quite strong. 12.5 - 12.7s for the manual.
Quarter mile is 11.8s.
