How about a serious bargain that beats both of them. A used 2004 Turbo X50? Even with tons of options like carbon interior, aero kit, and the ability to have over 500hp...You will spend less.!!!

For that money, a TT every time. If you must have NA power then get the 415HP 997GT3 beast.
Can't wait to get into a TT myself, but I'll wait a year till the hype dies down and order the SOB!

The C4S is not worth 120K+. You will be slaughtered on depreciation, and the option cost will never be recaptured in any way. You could get the base tt for less than the C4S, and be miles ahead, but I bet the discount goes away. AS

I debated a 996tt vs. my 997s. 355hp is more than enough on the street. Considering my car would never be winter driven awd didn't matter much - the driving experience did. RWD gives me what I wanted. On the track it can more than hold its own. The lower weight (roughly 400lbs) is noticable.
I did drive a 996tt and that thing is a monster. Monster rush. Monster power. Monster speeding tickets????
In a year or two, once my driving skills improve a lot more, I'm actually thinking of picking up a used 996 GT3 once they have depreciated significantly and turning it into a track car.
If the choice was between a C4S and the TT I think I would lean towards the TT. In my case I know I'd order a 997 C S w/o X51 again in a heartbeat. It does everything I want it to do with more than enough power to get into trouble. It is a little more tossable and weighs less.
I'm still not convinced on PCCB for track use. The big reds are more than enough for street. I couldn't believe how powerful they were slowing down from 135mph. Just phenomenal.

all that you can do is go to your favorite porsche dealer and put your name on their 997tt list-for most of us, it will take at least 18 months until your number is called-until then, i'll park myself in a 997c4s. things could be worse. i am just finishing my 996 tt lease-the new turbo sounds like the superest of the supercars. porsche provides you a world class supercar that you can drive to work everyday.
