wheel offset?

2010 Turbo (non-S) with OEM 19" wheels.

I am considering different wheels. Meeting with Forgeline in Dayton tomorrow. Do you know the offsets for the OEM wheels? A friend suggests 9" and 12" wheels with 255/35-19 F & 325/30-19 R tires.

I want Michelin Pilot Sport tires if that is a factor.

I want the tires to come out to the side of the car, without spacers if possible. What offsets should I be looking for?

Your thoughts?

(the wheels in the avatar are ADV1 on my old 2007 C2S. I like how they fit and want to duplicate that if possible)

A safe go to offset would be 46mm fronts for 9” wide and 42mm rear for 12” wide.

OEM is 56 front 51 rear

19x9+50 and 19x12+45 are commonly run widths and offsets and will work with the 255/35/19 and 325/30/19 tires. The offsets @rsalicrup suggested are close enough that they should work, although I have personally rubbed with 19x12+40 and 325s (-2 rear camber).

Its possible to go more aggressive than that, but depends on ride height and camber settings.

On the rear, were you lowered? If so, how much.

Thanks for all the info, you guys! Heading to Dayton shortly.

Yes on the rear. Ride height was on the lower side with 12k rear springs (pretty standard coilover spring rate).

The turbo rear fenders have a large inner lip which is what was rubbing on the tire during compressions. Not badly, but present. A light fender roll could have solved that but I chose to step down spacer size 5mm.

I'm all over the place on what offset to go with. I seen 44mm in the front with 9" wheels and even 38mm on the rear on 12" wheels. Right now I'm running 15mm spacers all around and I like the look of that. So I'm trying to translate that to a 9" and a 12" wide wheel.

I'd go ET 45 all round OP. You'll get that motorsport stance. Tyres I'd go 245 35 19 and 325 30 19. These are OEM GT2 tyre sizes with no rubbing. 255 will not work on a gen 2.

Trip to Forgeline

Met with Mark where they make the wheels from forged billets. I’ll be going with:SC3C-SL style for Porsche 997T (5 lug application, not centerlock)

Transparent Smoke center, Polished with clearcoat outer

19X9 front, 19X12 rear With Porsche crest engraved on centercap

TPMS installed,

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires

255/35-19 and 325/30-19

Mark has put up with myriad questions and been most helpful
