Advice on buying my first Porsche

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty new here, finally posting as I might be about to buy my first Porsche. So if anyone has comments on what I'm about to buy, or things I should look at, please shoot!

My sights have been set on the 997.2 for a while, and after considering a C4S cab initially, I am actually going for a Turbo cab instead. There are currently only 2 for sale here in Spain, but one of them looks pretty good (and is in Barcelona, where I live):
- 2010
- 68,000km (42,000 miles)
- All maintenance history at Porsche

Well kept and well equipped also (IMO), list of options below. The professional seller is asking 85,000€ for it, which seems like a fair price. My plan is to have it thoroughly checked by an independent Porsche specialist before committing to anything. I am also yet to take it for a test drive (I have seen it in person already).

Optional equipment (15):
Limited Slip Rear Differential Lock
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
Multi-stage Heating System for Front Seats
19" RS Spyder Wheel with Central Lock
Deletion of Model Designation
Dynamic Cornering Light
ParkAssist Rear
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Telephone Module
VEHICLE TRACKING SYSTEM PREPARATION
Floor Mats in Interior Color
PDK 3-spoke Sports Steering Wheel with Shift Paddles Universal Audio Interface
Adaptive Sports Seats
Porsche Crest Embossed on Headrests

Yes, be careful its a slippery slop after you buy your first one.

Just get a PPI and if that checks out. Enjoy it! Youre going to love it.

Haha yeah, that's a risk worth taking I believe

Yes, definitely getting a PPI before making any decision.

After purchase, I have two things I intend to do actually:
- little paint correction & Paint Protection Film (if anyone has any idea of the cost in Europe, I'd be interested, otherwise I'll just get some quotes later on)
- Carplay kit for PCM 3.0

Thanks for the replies!
