Default Issue with Porsche Indoor OEM Cover

Does anybody have a 997.1 with OEM indoor cover? Would be great to see a picture.

I just bought this one from Suncoast and it just does not fit, probably wrong tag from factory.

I have a few of these covers - let em go and check....

However - they are VERY tight fitting - I use the old 997 TT one for my Spyder - as i had to purchase a new one for eh GT2 wing...

Give me 30 Mins?

thanks!

I've had OEM covers before but this is not very tight, it just does not fit. I'd have to break something to put it on the car

My cover came with car from factory or dealership I dont recall.

I do recall the first time putting it on I swear it was the wrong size. It fit tighter than a hookers spandex, but it did fit!

Left if partially on the car for a bit, seems it relaxed a little. I'll try again tomorrow because so far it's impossible to use in full.

they are crazy tight. My method was side view mirrors first then stretch it out pulling any slack out of the area over the roof. Then pull it over the front then back. I figured do the front first since there is more stuff that can break off (i.e. splittter), rear fells more stable.

I have the 997.1 Oem cover. It has a large logo on the frunk and says Porsche on the rear. It fit fine and went on easily. It has the same part number you have

Sorry for the delay..... Had to run out to a meeting.

Pls see attached pic - I don't have the label that was attached to the techquipment bag it stores in - however this is what i used and it is VERY snug when on....

Hope this helps?

Simon.

Mine is very tight. I do mirrors first, then over the spoiler (but not all the way down), then the front, then down all the way at the rear.

After the 2nd year of winter storage mine could actually be pulled all the way down over the splitters/bumper but tight (the picture shows what it's like in year 4 or 5 of use). I start at the front by throwing it on the windshield, getting the front bumper and mirrors then finish by pulling over the rear. Once approximately on then I can pull it all the way down at the front and rear to wrap under the edges.

Are you sure you got a Turbo cover? I know mine was a different than standard due to the Aerokit.

Mine fits like a glove (just like the one shown above) and covers the entire car. It will eventually stretch . I've also used the cover from my (former) GT4 which also fits my 997.2 TTS.

If you’ve got aerokit then the GT3 cover is likely the best bet. That what I have on mine, and it fits pretty well. I too was surprised at how tight the general fit is on these.

After the night resting on the car, partially mounted, it stretched a lot. The car was still warm so I guess it also helped.

It's still super tight but it can be mounted so here it is!

Thanks for the comments, hope the thread helps another frustrated new cover buyer

Does your cover have a more yellow/golden hue in person?

I just received the OEM Indoor cover for my Spyder (also ordered through Suncoast) today. Was expecting more of silver/grey color based on the photos but mine is definitely more golden.

My cover was very difficult to install but glad to see it seems to stretch out after a night sitting out of the package.

Thanks for sharing this!
