2007 Porsche 911 Turbo from LUXE Automotive
Hello Rennlist and 997 Turbo aficionados!
Have been looking at this 2007 911 997 Turbo and just trying to figure out if the ask price of $99K is fair? They have a little wiggle....but, I don't think much?
https://luxeautomotivesales.com/2007-porsche-911-turbo/
Looking for thoughts and opinions as I'm pretty new and looking for advice from those that are in the know.
Thanks,
Erik

Very true. There has been a lot of talk recently about tomorrow's money for today's car. I think that is just where we are with the current market. And, once you have the car, you are now in (partial) control of what tomorrow's value will be.
I know first hand that a 2009 C2S manual, 6-spd, mileage under 10k sold for upper 60s in June. I also know that there is no way you can touch that car today for anything less than much closer to $80k. So, in less than 9 months it has gone up in market value more than 10% which is crazy, but that is the current market. Great as a seller, not as good as a buyer. Finding any nice, lower mileage .1 Turbo manual is just becoming more difficult so perhaps the question is can you afford to not buy it?
Beautiful car. If you like it then buy it and don't look back. There is for comparison purposes a 2009 in Atlas Gray for sale asking $110,000 on this forum. Good luck!

We sold my 2007TT w/ 7K miles for $99K in Jan of this year. You can use that as a reference.
Many offered mid to high 80s for it, some mid 90s but someone pulled the trigger on full asking price.
Car was turn key and needed nothing. If you would like a link to the ad, send me a pm.
Ad doesn't mention much about service records, condition & date codes of the tires & etc. GR is also a love it or hate it type of a color (I LOVE it btw) so keep that in mind.
That car is a beautiful build.

There are people who will pay a premium to drive a 997 TT coupe with both feet (speaking about a friend ), and the dealers know it. If you don't buy it, someone else will, so they can ask a lot. If you don't mind an automatic, you could get a better price. If you want a manual, you could wait for a private sale to do a little better pricewise, maybe...

It’s starting to become starkly apparent that the 997 hits a lot of buttons for those that grew up hanging on the backstretch
fences of Sebring, Daytona, Laguna....... a drivers car without a bunch of nanny add ons.....the smell, the sound. Have a buddy that
has had a 992 for 3 months and while a pleasure to look at, it’s bloated, sounds anemic and the interior, while lovely, has not
a single reminder of what got Porsche to this point. It’s like being in a leather wrapped video game. He loves it though so good
for him. As someone else said, buy if you want, but if you don’t someone else surely will.

I think this car was in PCarMarket last May. I tried to buy it but lost the auction. It had 6-7k miles then. I would trade mine for this one.

Yes! Thank you for finding this dsscpa :-)
Looks like LUXE won this Bid last May 2020 for $93,249 and put 3000 miles on it and is now flipping it for $99,000....Hmm???
I'm not sure how I feel about that? Honestly, this is why I always prefer to buy directly from the Seller in a Person-to-Person sale.
Thoughts?

It is a great car, coolant lines are pinned, fully serviced in Phoenix before May sale. Red is kinda rare and the interior options are rare. I bought the same car without pinning and without the fancy interior specs after I lost this one.

I get that there are a few more miles since it was bought in May but when you including transport and PCarMarket's buyer fee plus 9 months worth of insurance, Luxe isn't really jacking the price up that much, are they? Dealers usually seem to tack on a lot more than that for a profit.
Regardless, looks like a nicely specced example and I love guards red on 997s. With these low mile cars, I think you sort of have to ask yourself, "am I ever going to find another one at these miles/spec?" and proceed accordingly. One with 30k+ miles, you can more safely say that yes, you will probably come across a pretty similar car again, but these 10k-mile ones, not so much.

You’re paying a heavy premium for the miles as its not a highly optioned car. If you plan on driving it then I’d look to save some money by adding some miles but getting more options. If you want low miles though then most cars sub 15K miles are usually gonna run you $85K or above.

I was tracking this one before it sold the first time. Always on the hunt for nicely equipped 997. Assuming it looks as good in person as it does in the pics, this is a nice find. There are simply too few 997 turbo remaining with many of the preferred options in great condition with low miles. Guards red, adaptive sports seats, red stitching and what looks to be seat bolsters in excellent shape. Can't blame them for driving it, I would too. Good luck!
