Raced both F12 and big V12 Lambo below too a few days ago at VMAX200. Will upload when I have the vids. Result similar at half mile but much clearer by speed trap

I bought this powerkit back in 2015 for £18-19k and Nine Excellence did everything.

If technical (I'm not I just drive to the event and drive no laptops or data logging) all you need to make your 997.1 turbo to go like that are GT2 VTGs, do88 big pack, Europipe 2, sachs 890nm (if manual), custom tune and a drop of MS109

Says a lot about how massively powerful the new 992 turbo is given your mods that you barely pipped him.
Nice job!

IMI- my interpretation is that you edged him out narrowly at the end of the run in overall speed- ie, you had the higher trap speed- but he was in front of you at the end and narrowly won the race at the end (his “ET” was faster)....?
Also- is his 992TT stock??

Not only is his car stock, I think it had like 500 miles on it at the time of this running!

On the camera angle in vid I agree it looks like he maybe edged it. I thought i maybe had it by half a car maybe a car length looking at us both from inside the car but at 200mph who really knows?! Perhaps a dead heat too close to call. I suspect the only person who has the in/on car footage that would settle it for sure is Mr JWW as I don't have camera in my car
992 bone stock and brand new. Its a monster nothing quicker this side of a 918. With the new stricter European emissions legislation Porsche have done an amazing job.

Is your car a manual transmission? Either way, considering your mods are not that substantial, impressive to see you run with or outrun that 992 Turbo S. The 992 is a beast, and impressive to see your few mods are right there with it.

2007 manual 997 turbo with stock engine. Upgrades are pretty minimal bolt ons GT2 hybrid VTG turbos with 62mm compressor wheel, do88 turbo inlet pipes, do88 big pack intercoolers. Europipe 2 sports 100 cel exhaust. Sachs 890Nm clutch, 997t short shift, H&R - 20 mm sports lowering springs with TPC DSC module and GT2 RS rear anti roll bar. 380mm Brembo GT front discs/calipers. 19 inch BBS F1 alloys with 245 and 325 section Cup 2s. Stock gearbox too. Race fuel a key ingredient takes her from 680PS (0-300kph 26 secs) to circa 720-750PS (0-300kph 22 secs) (or whatever power level it takes a 997 turbo to run 2mph faster terminal velocity than a stock 720s at every VMAX 200 event for las few years which I use as a benchmark for how my cars running). If I was running slower than 720s I'd know something wrong so thats my data logging system.

Was at VMAX again 26 Sept. Two races against 2018 991.2 turbo s cab. You can see the difference between a good launch and a great launch in the 997. Will also post up races against F12 and SV too soon. I'm on 98,500 miles
