I have the below trickle charger from my 964 which I've now sold. Is this charger safe to use on a 997.2 or should I be using the newer CTEK chargers?

I'd just buy a newer CTEK, while that may work I'm sure chargers have improved in the last 30 years.

my car parks for months between driving... i have a cheap battery tender jr on it through the cig adapter. works great $20 on sale. I just changed out for quick connects at the battery because i would leave the window down and spiders were in it the other day. .....

My car came with two. That one and the Ctek/Porsche one. I have been using the ctek one but would not hestitate to use the other OR the battery tenter brand if need to.

This is not rocket science.

I have the same charger that I have used on my 964t, 993, 996tt and CTT. It does its job fine. I also have a battery tender Jr and a CTEK, they all get used and seem to do the exact same thing.
