Default Sharing my spreadsheet of 997.2TT Coupe 6MT price comps

After searching daily for almost a year, I finally acquired a 2011 TT coupe 6-speed last week. I will make another thread with some pictures and details once this rainy week is over. I wanted to share my spreadsheet of comps that I've built (data going back a couple years). It has VINs, specs, prices, locations, links, etc. Most of them are asking prices (not sold prices) and I can't guarantee all links still work or which cars are still available, but it's still a lot of really helpful data. If anyone has issues with the file, send me a PM and I'll email it to you.

I took the data from the spreadsheet and did a regression analysis based on mileage vs price. You can see which cars are over/underpriced relative to miles only based on the market. I did the same when I bought mine and purchased it as it was $5k underpriced at the time.

Thank you for both the data and the RA. Based on the RA - low mileage 2012s are priced $10k more than low mileage 2011s, after 25k miles they are about equally priced

2011's price erosion is about $1 in value per mile driven. (ouch!) 2012s lose close to double that initially then taper down to about $1.80 a mile (ouch! ouch!)

But again these are just ask prices so maybe the real takeaway is sellers are over valuing years over mileage and condition.

I drove 2 Turbo S in Dallas in December. 1 with 17k another with 40k. The 17k was so ragged, abused and beat up there was no price I'd pay for it. The 40k drove just like my 12k 2011. (like new)

This is great! You took it to the next level. There were one or two that had accidents and mine was super low priced by the dealer but got snatched up by a broker first. I'm going to stop following the market and enjoy my car!

With a smaller data set like this a few outliers (accident vehicles) can throw off the numbers. But good idea to just enjoy. No sense checking out the bridesmaids once you're hitched.

With regard to bridesmaid comment, It doesn’t matter where you get your appetite, as long as you eat at home.

These are expensive hobbies and less satisfying than driving a Porsche.

(Every teenage boy's fantasy is to be the manager of a Hooters. For any mature man, it's his nightmare and evidence of a lifetime of bad decision making.)

Amen. My wife of 25 years on my left along, with my two sister in-laws and little sister during a birthday party.

In that case - I'd be happy too.

Congrats on 25 years.

I recently bought my .1 TT... I’ll post my entrance to the ball on another post...

To the “blonde expensive hobby” comment, this is precisely why a Porsche is immeasurably a better expenditure than a 20 something side piece text machine in a little black dress. Your Porsche service won’t hold a candle to the shoes / bags / AMEX bills!

A Porsche is a repulsatron 997 from what I've seen, so really it's saving you money!

But yeah they're not mutually exclusive, no reason you can't have both in your life. And not all hot women are expensive, if that's you're experience to date you're looking in the wrong places
