Default Guys running 20" wheels, what aspect ratio tires did you go with?

I need to replace the rubber on my 20" wheels. Trying to decide if I should stick with 245/30 and 305/25 (this maintains the overall diameter of the OEM 19" setup) or go up to 245/35 and 305/30. I'd like to have some more sidewall but going up a size will increase the overall tire diameter by 1".
Any opinions on this?

Any reason you chose not to do 245 in the front? That would make it closer in overall diameter to the rears.

^^ If you have 9 fronts and 12 rears, I highly recommend the combo above- very popular and no issues on stock or Eibach/HR lowered springs variety. For tires, a favorite combo lately has been the MPS4. Good luck.

I have 11" rears and prefer to stay with the 305 width. Seems like no one is running a 35/30 F/R aspect ratio on 20" rims.

Agree with mudbuddha, on MP4S being the street tire of choice. Also, am lowered on Eibach springs with no rubbing.

As a rule of thumb you only need to stay within 3% of OEM front to rear difference...so whatever combo you go with, I would go with the biggest and widest that is within this 3% rule. P-cars, especially our turbos with rear weight bias and all that power needs as wide a contact patch as possible under them rear fenders. 305s is too small of a tire for 11" wide rims...yes it is doable and folks have done it but just too small imo espcially for 20". Even OEM with 18s are already on 305s or 315s so you are +2 and still use 305s??? Heck even on my Silverrose with 11" wide rims from the 996TT, uses 315/30/18 tires... Dont get me wrong, it will work but not ideal and may even look odd as their will almost be no side wall to protect rims. ymmv.

@Simon- Nice stance, Can't tell on the fronts but rears look flushed with the fenders, nice ! Looks fast also.. I use MPSS also but will switch to MPS4 with my next set...

Bought mine with 20" techart wheels. Aspect ratio was 245/30/20 FR and 325/25/20 RR....An aspect ratio of 25 is too small imo.

I swapped to 245/35/19 FR and 305/30/19 RR, it helps soften the ride a bit. I did not rub with either setup on P4S's and Hankook tires.

@ShatterPoints- Glad it is working out better for you going from 20s to 19s to get back the side wall ratio...I am surprised you didn't go with 315s or 325s for the 19s. There are a couple of options there to retain contact patch while addressing the side wall ratio that you are after. Assuming when you were running 325s, that was on 12" wide rims...with the 19s, did you go to 11 or 11.5 width in the back?

Went with Avant Garde Ruger Mesh wheels, 11" rear. I figured 305 was the best bet since it was an OE option. Not sure how putting a wider tire on the wheel would help the track width any?

Hey Guys I had a question, I have a 2007 Targa 4, would I be able to fit 325/25/20's on the rear, I am concerned about the all wheel drive ratios
Currently running 245/30/20 and 295/25/20, I feel that there is not enough side wall and the car looks a little funny. Rims are 20x10" (front) and 20x12" (rear)
