Lightbulb Tiptronic leaking at transfer case / balancer case

Hi.
Im driving a 2008 997 turbo with a tiptronic transmission and my car has run about 103.000km.
Some month ago I noticed a small tiptronic oil leak at the transfer-/balancer case (see photos). I cannot say if itīs ATF oil (color), because itīs very dirty. I went to two local porsche dealers/workshops. Both workshops couldnīt figure out exactly from where the oil is coming and both werenīt very concerned about the small leak. They just gave me the advice, to keep on looking after it. Even if my car drives perfect and thereīs notething noticeable while driving, I want to figure it out. Maybe itīs not a big deal at all and helps me spending alot money by fixing it before the trransmission has to be rebuild one day. I found a sample picture of a 997 turbo tiptronic transmission and marked the area where Iīm thinking the oil coming from. Do you have any ideas? I read something about a plug that might cause that issue?

Btw. The ATF reservoir/tub has already been replaced and I also did a tranmission fluid with new ATF oil.

Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend taking it to an auto transmission specialist who has experience working with Mercedes gearboxes. I had a very similar issue and suspect it will be the same: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...=354073&page=3

Thanks to both of you! In the thread it seems to be the connector that causes the leak. I will try to check it

For your interest: I finally found a good service shop, that helped me out and they knew the specific problem very well. In short: It was a paper gasket that was worn out. The paper gasket isnīt available at Mercedes (thatīs why Porsche often changes the whole tiptronic unit). The shop removed the paper gasket and sealed it with heat-resistant sealing compound (see also attached pictures). The gearbox hat to be flattend to do this. It took 4 hours and cost me about 600$. Thereīs no more leaking at all since 2000km
