Ah, yeah, good point.

Hope your motor mounts are solid, if not look for the melting spots on each of the plastic ducts. One will have it on the top the other in the bottom. I had to get rid of mine. Non issue for the 997.2 since the ducts are larger. Good luck.

Further, if you use the AP 3-1/2 diameter dual pipe or another manufacturer's 3" diameter dual pipe you'll need the precise X-pipe or rear muffler outlet geometry to fit correctly through the ducts. This can be a bit of a challenge. Tips not designed for your specific exhaust system may clamp on if the pipe diameter is correct, but the vertical angle, the horizontal distance off the X or muffler to the exhaust outlet are not all the same. I've discovered plenty of incompatibility. Check with the manufacturer first. Good Luck!

Just thought I'd report in on my new tips....

I went with the Speedtech.
I have a set of Soul Performance on my Spyder - and just aren't happy with the colour they've turned. Soul has offered to re-finish - GREAT customer Service - but given I'm in Au - its a bit hard.

Back to the Speedtechs:

Well they arrived and were the wrong ones - and like I said being in AU - makes it harder than it should be.

Irrespective - only 1 (ONE!!) email to John @John D II with a photo and an explanation and he Expressed me the correct set. Cant get better service than that!

As a multiple business owner - I am aware that things happen - and in my experience - its when things go wrong that you get to see what sort of Co. you're dealing with.

Speedtech and John, certainly rose to the occasion - Customer Service at its best, and a public thank you to John.

Yes they are a tight fit - but they fit and fit well, and they look fantastic. (i'm not a fan of the black ones) so am loving the look.

Thanks John and Speedthech!

They look great against the red paint!
