I had to sell her because of a new business / home etc. I have a little yard sale if you’re interested in some parts (Cobb, dsc, etc). https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1143088#post15841673
Have any of you left only to have found yourself returning shortly thereafter because you can’t find a qualified replacement?

Haven't gone through the process, but am likely to soon. Looking to start a business offshore and need the capital, REALLY don't want to sell it as have invested so much time and effort into the car and now "know" it like the back of my hand, but accept that I might need to and will own one again. Will likely pull off all the go fast bits and out them on the next one

I feel your pain...years ago I sold a couple of 70's Porsches to raise cash for a house downpayment... I scraped the piggy-banks and couch-cushions and bought another one - albeit significantly cheaper - about 2 weeks after escrow closed.

You probably will end up back in another 911 at some point. I think the more difficult part is trying to find a comparable one in quality. As cars get older, it only gets more difficult to find a nice one, however, they will always be out there, you just may have to pay a premium. Best of luck with the business and the sale.

I wouldn't worry about it. You'll dream about cars in the middle of the night, when you see one driving down the street, and when the time is right, maybe years from now, you'll probably be able to pick up another one and feel totally happy again.

Maybe it's just being reminiscent but I miss nearly every car I ever had. A Datsun 510 wagon, a BMW 1600 and a 1965 Cadillac hearse done up as a "Deathmobile" that my high school best friend John Hennessey (yes that John Hennessey) and I used to terrorize the streets of Kansas City with.
