Default New Splitter

I have been looking for a new front lip that would compliment the looks of my GT2RS rear wing and provide some additional downforce on track days. I finally bit the bullet and bought a Werks1 CF front splitter. I held off for a while due to the expense, but I really like this design. The fitment was spot on. I had to drill 4 holes for screw and spacer attachment, but it was marked where to drill, and those locations ended up being perfect. There are thin aluminum skid plates riveted to the bottom for minimal scrape protection. It took about an hour and a half to install. I’ll definitely be more careful of curbs from now on, and won’t be going back to the $100 option.

Looks good but be really careful of scraping. It's one of the lowest splitters out there. I had one on mine but ultimately tore it up. Couldn't event load/unload on a trailer for towing. The metal plates underneath will be the first things that come off once you scrape them a few times. They are just held on by bradded type pins.

I measured ground clearance before and after install. New lip is lower by only 1/4". The killer is it extends so far forwards, it affects the approach angle. My driveway is ok if I angle just right. Good thing my trailer ramps are only 5.2 degrees. I'm OK if I am very careful, and for $2k I assure you I am careful, BTW my car is not lowered.

Looks good on clearance. Yeah, forgot to mention mine is lowered on coilovers, so makes a big difference on clearance. It's a great splitter and loved the look. Just couldn't endure the $2k every time I heard it scrape. I've been searching for a replica version a little cheaper so I could replace it.
