Default Broken Piston Ring on 997TT

Long story short, car was shaking on idle so I took it in to get it checked, there was no engine compression on cylinder 1-2-3. After disessembling the engine, found out that piston ring was broken,
No idea how and why it have happened, car has 60K miles, cobb stage 1 tune. Here is a picture of the ring,

The reason I am posting this thread is to ask few opinions, mechanic wants to replace few items, such as

All 6 piston rings , of course
(1) oil pump, (they said they found small metals in the oil, I have seen very small few particles)
(2) cam shaft gear (1 of them had damage they say so they want to replace both)
(2) Chain
(2) chain tensioner
some hoses (they said it got hardened and it might be good time to replace)
(2) Hydraulic valve (997-105-303-73)
(2) chain guide

these are some major ones, not including small parts, o rings or anything.

I live in Turkey and car is in Turkey, how ever I will order the parts from US and possible come and get them since I am an airline pilot and I get cheap business class tickets.

That's quite the impressive picture, the engine parts look like a 997.1 but the bumper is from a .2 ?

Wow... of all the postings I have seen about the 997, I do not recall one about broken rings. Typically this is an oiling issue and since oil is an engine's life blood, there could be other damage. The thing that sticks out in my mind is why only 1 side of the engine? Was there smoke prior to or during the failure or just rough idle? Was there an event (over rev, day at the track, etc) prior to the failure?

No damage to the other pistons, but all pistons on that side had broken rings? Did they say anything about bore scoring?

I would be inclined to agree about the oil pump, and any other damage that can be documented being dealt with, however I would really want to know why this happened as much as what to fix so it doesn't happen again.

Piston ring lands look good, any sandblasting look to them? How about sandblasted look on piston crown? How about wear on your rod bearings? All would be signs of knock.
