Default Tinting Windows... any concerns?

Anything to worry about? Like water damage on our supple leather doors, suede roof liner being damaged or them never getting the rear window right and or damaging the defrost function?

No different than tinting cars that cost much more. Pick a well known place, not parking lot jobs

Likewise; we've had the same local guy do 3-4 cars with good results. I kinda wish I had not gone as dark on the rears... Although my wife's MB is so dark out the back I can barely reverse it without freaking myself out - my TT isn't that bad

Like others have said, find a good shop. They know how to deal with this stuff. Isn't any more of a concern than some rain getting in the car when you open the door or have the window open.

Agree with everyone else as long as the work is performed by a reputable shop.

Ruskiy...the other two considerations, other than picking a reputable shop, are 1) limiting sun exposure on your interior leather and carpet can help prolong the interior. The dash is a little trickier so use sunshades. 2) depending on where you live, the local law enforcement may have an opinion...I've been issued fix-it tickets on murdered black XJR with one shade under limo tint, my current Range Rover with mid-range (50%) tint and a Cayenne with one shade under limo tint. SO it depends on your local zealous (or not) law enforcement. I don't worry about it much now that I've not enjoyed an adult libation for a few years, but in days past, it was always on my mind...my 2-bits.

Tint Laws by State

Per above check that link. I know NJ was a PIA when I lived there. Texas you can fail inspection with tint just past the legal level.

I used huber optic on my cars - its a little more $$ but a thicker high quality film. Also if you find a shop that installs the huber optic they will have a high likelihood of being good.
