That's got to be the "Bottom" on these for a long while!
Who here thinks the 997.2TTS's will be this low any time soon?
I would think with the lower production numbers compared to the .1's and the straight up "supercar" performance these have, even stock, that they would stay in the mid - high 70's and low 80's for quite a while. What else can you buy with this kind of performance for that money?

Doubt he'd have paid $6400 for a Fidelity if it were still covered. At that mileage and condition, I doubt it was CPO. Fidelity is a great option for this car. I just bought one for mine back in Nov.

Great buy. Congrats!
I don't think people should use this one car to judge values. That is silly.
Think of it this way - What did the dealer buy this car for to sell it so cheap??
Someone got hosed, and you got the better end of the deal. Simple.
It is a good deal, but nothing too crazy in my opinion for the millage.
And, you would need to see the car in person to make the final decision.

Nicely done! I think the pricing is 'fair' at this current time/place in the market. You have 991.1 Turbos encroaching on these 997.2s and it's the middle of winter. The reality is that they sold enough of these cars that they are going to keep going down in price for a while, but the cream puffs and rare colors will always hold their value more. As someone else mentioned, the fact that it was at a non-Porsche dealer also factored into the deal being even sweeter. Very well bought, and I hope you enjoy the car for years to come!

Well guys there is the link. I had not posted it because I did not want a chance of someone getting the deal from under me. As for the car, ended up buying it for $72,000 and got the 4yr - 48,000 mile Fidelity Platinum warranty for $6,200.
The car is in great condition but does have some rock chips on the front bumper and hood (nothing I believe is excessive for the year and mileage) as well as the front splitter needs to be replaced as it has been scrapped a few to many times. At the end of the day I think the deal turned out good.

Way to go! Great car, great color, great price, great fun and ... I was totally wrong in my earlier post. YOU DID IT MAN!
Now go out there and drive this thing year round and enjoy the heck out of this beast. I love mine soooooo much. Your car is it's twin.

So with the TTS, you're giving up the 6-speed and, less importantly, the race-bred Mezger engine, and the car starts competing more with 991s and 992s (not to mention all the other fast modern PDK cars out there).
I've said it before and I could very well be wrong, but I think down the line the TTS will be coveted only slightly more than a Tiptronic Turbo with PCCBs. I'm not dissing the TTS, I'm just speaking to what I think enthusiasts with an eye on investment/collectibility potential are going to be looking at.
For one, in just a few years used 991.2s with tunes will enter that bracket and blow away the TTS in every metric, while having better PDK (or a manual!), a similar street engine and being newer.

I do. I was surprised at the price of OP's but I think TTSes will start popping up in that range pretty soon. As the years go by and automatics transmissions get faster and better and more ubiquitous, the value driver for "old" Porsches like the 997 will be that vintage "last-of" experiential type stuff you get with an old-school manual transmission. That's why a 993 Turbo, which would get dusted by any 997 Turbo, sells now for twice as much - it's about the intangibles.

Yes I agree on the perceived pricing trend - see the differential between 997TT manuals and automatics increasing as more (991) PDK TT/TTS's come on the market every year but not so for the manuals.
