OP definitely found a good deal but after seeing final price of $72k, having higher miles, 6 owners( I think) from a non Porsche dealer that probably didn't put any money into it and he said decent amount of rock paint chips on bumper and hood. The price is a very good one but not some sign of a crashing market on 997.2 TTS.

He has $78k into it with the warranty and not sure about the interior condition, don't remember seeing pics. You can buy a very low mile one owner CPO with pretty much immaculate interior and paint for low $90s. I know because that's what I was looking for and just bought.

So I think we're seeing the range between mid-high $70s up to low-mid $90s depending on owners, miles, CPO and condition. That is putting them 45-60% of original list which is where I would expect bottom to be for 997.2 TTS. Any lower and you're hitting the ceiling of 996TT at high $50ks.

Nice good buy by the OP but sky is definitely not falling on 997.2 TTS. The last of an iconic body style, smaller body style vs new platform, hydraulic steering and modern day supercar performance with zero mods. Best of modern performance and still some of the original raw Porsche 911 feel.

Just my thoughts from a recent buyer that went through a lot of weighing of 997.2 TTS vs 991.

I like this take on it.

Only reason I'm worrying about it is that I can't stop wanting a 991TTS and just hoping the market stays up on these in case I ever want / can make the change.

Otherwise, I should be happy with the deal I got and what I've put into it since. I'm blessed to have been able to make this one happen, given my profession / income compared to some.

The MSRP will so hight on those, I doubt they've cause the 991's / 997's to go down much when first released. Maybe after a few years when the market gets more flooded.

Will be interesting though. Can't wait to see what performance figures will be on the 992TTS

Why not just get your current wheels powder-coated? Around here quality guys get about $150/wheel.

Kinda wanted a spare set so I'd still have the originals. Maybe do swaps to change up the look each year / half year.

No doubt two sets are better than one! Just more expensive and more of a hassle to store...

Between extra and winter sets of tires and wheels for my wife's Audi, the F150, the Turbo, and four motos, (and yes, even vehicles i no longer own) my storage area looks like a freaking tire rack auxiliary warehouse.

Watch for my new realty series: "Hoarders, auto/moto edition..."

Nah, get it! I have them both. Have not gotten bored with the black ones yet.

I dipped my wheels anthracite gray, and while it was easy and cheap to do and looked pretty good, it was a nightmare to peel off. I had read all the forums posts and watched all the videos so I knew to put extra coats on to make removal easy and it still sucked.

Wish I knew. Like I said, I prepped by watching every DipYourCar video twice, and it seemed like the #1 rule was "lay it extra thick so it peels right off," and it still took a couple hours of scrubbing, a bottle of Goo Gone and a pressure washer to get it all off. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know other people have zero issues so I never say "don't do it," I just know I won't try it again.
