I'm a huge fan of PDK, but I agree that nothing beats the feel of a 6MT. Only if you can have more than one 'toy' car than having a dual clutch equipped car makes sense, or on a daily driver for sure.

But for many of us, we will drive manuals until they are all gone or our health won't permit it!

I do see 2009s come up from time to time and agree that it's THE CHOICE if you want a 997TT. It's the closest thing to having the best of all worlds in a single factory package. Good luck to the OP on his search!

I love my GT silver 2011 997.2 6MT w sub 10k miles. I get the itch to swap it for something else every so often but then quickly realize how hard it would be to find again (if ever). Sounds like you're set on the '09 but if a low mile pristine .2 is something you're after, let me know via PM.
