I am one of those drive until forever guys. My first long term car was a '90 Audi Coupe Quattro that I gave up with 335K miles on it. Currently I DD a '95.5 Audi S6 with over 200K on the clock and I have an '08 S6 with 180K.

As you can tell I am not afraid of high mileage. One caveat though is that I have put all of the miles on these cars and I do the proper maintenance and then some. I also drive my cars in a spirited manner, so no Sunday driving miles on those vehicles.

The 911 was the first used car I have purchased with 30K on the odometer, and was a chance I took since not all of the service records were available. I have been and will continue to wrench on it myself and plan on keeping it forever.

Semper Fi Sir...you have a damn fine toy chest (and the baddest of them is a freebie), worst thing in the world is to feel over extended. Having said all that, having been in The Corps and maxed the PFT, afterwards when I was in Engineering College I had a pretty damn good OCS offer on the table that I seriously considered (I was being offered Jets), but in the end I took the defense contractors big Engineer pay checks. Things turned out okay but I still kick myself for not rolling the dice and really go where my heart was...being a Fighter pilot.

Thanks gents. I will have more info on Saturday. Please let me know if there's anything I should be watching out for on my test drive and inspection that may specifically relate to the 997TT. Hope to drive it home!

Don’t wear white pants on your test drive, the turbo will scare the **** out of you and don’t want it to be too obvious. Enjoy your new car!

You are correct. This car is epic - face meltingly fast. I love it.

If well maintained the should be a great purchase,. Insanely fast!!! My 08 Cab has 76,000 purchased last August a few minor issues mostly electrical PCM 2.1 failed and washer pump now the BRV's are needing replacement.
Get PPI with over rev report.

This 996TT has well over 570,000 miles

It has some warts but nothing with the drive train, which has been addressed with pinned lines and camshafts. Need to do the brakes and CV boots, and I’ll toss some new tires on there as well. Got it for base C2 money so there’s room to play.

Lord that steering wheel looks the part. I would love a carbon fiber tag motorsports 991 MF wheel in my car. Maybe one day

Keep your eyes peeled in the largest used parts marketplace, found everything except the modules on Ebay Wheel and Airbag for under $1,100.00
