Shop Refuses to Instal LED DRL

Ok gents, looking for some help here. I have ebay LED DRLs, basically the same exact thing from Agency Power, and so far 2 body shops and 1 indy has refused to wire them in. They said that they are uncomfortable tapping into the main wire harness to keep it as a DRL.

There has to be a simple fix for this, because I would love the look of LED DRLs, especially after upgraded to 997.2 LED fogs

Thanks in advance. Pictures or write-ups of how other people skinned this cat would be greatly appreciated.

I would also tell you NO! Reason, it will cause issues and you would be coming back with a plausible statement, “it’s not working you did it”. Moreover, a simple coding via PIWIS would probably do it. I am assuming they don’t have the PIWIS.

Can you not simply turn your lights on / off during the day?
Maybe I'm over simplifying things..

No, for the front LED turn indicators on the 997 to be a true DRL they have to be tapped into the ignition. Apparently there is a way to do this by just routing the wires to the fuse box

You need this. It's simple just use fuse adapter and do not mess with other wires.

That looks perfect!

I ran mine in to the fusebox when I did it. I'm not a cut into a harness guy. Its not that hard to wire. Just find a key on power and use what silverstan showed.

That's what I will be using, car goes to the shop Friday.

Side note, does anyone know what type of CANBUS PnP LED Bulb works on the side markers?

if these DRL's are the same as the Vivid ones that came on my car, save yourself the time and money.

I cant wait to remove them.. too lazy and its too damn cold out

Why do you say that? These are not the vivid/Agency power ones there are from Extreme Motor Cars from ebay. Owner gave me his personal number and has been very helpful.

they make my car look like a Civic. They are always on, and way too busy. They dont dim either which makes it look like a fast and furious prop car at night.

The DRL just doesnt look good in stock OEM directional location.

If you must, convert to .2 DRL's which are in the fog assembly.

I know youre not talking bad about the greatest movie ever made(RIP Paul you died in my dream car). But all jokes aside, if it looks bad...I’ll just remove them! I like the look from what I have seen in pictures

Are those HRE FF01 wheels? Are you running spacers?

By the way, install hopefully happening today. Cars and coffee tomorrow locally and next weekend at the Porsche dealership I go to in Raleigh. Locally(lots of young guys and modded cars) I think people will like them...at the dealership I will probably be banned for modding my car so much :(
