Shipping gt2 seats
Hello!
Has anyone shipped these before? Any tips? What box did you use (original boxes not available obviously.
How much did it run you? Who did you use to ship?

easiest way to ship seats would be to use uhaul garment boxes. super heavy duty . i shrink wrapped the seats then used a cheap blanket to wrap the first seat. slide it into the box then flipped the 2nd seat and slid it into the box as well. shipped fedex for about 200$ obviously insuring 8k$ seats will cost more

I used a local freight shipping company who screwed the seats down and later wrapped/ boxed it.

looks like I have everything I need to attempt shipping. Looks like $300 bucks roughly based on the uhaul box dimensions and 85lbs of weight. Thanks to all who chimed in. I appreciate it!

i went to a cheap dollar store and bought a couple cheap blankets. used them to wrap the seats to add protectiopn after shrink wrapping them. knew they wont come back but helps keep the seats safe. putting both seats 1 flipped in 1 box kepps everything tight and wont move around in shipping. remember its the backs of the seats you dont want moving when shipping

Be super careful when packaging them. Like someone said above, take a blanket and wrap it then wrap it generously with shrink wrap. The rails have sharp edges that can tear the box open and make a mess of things.
